One-of-a kind handwoven throw in our Small Pinecones design in Natural Light Grey on a Cream base, made from 100% undyed British alpaca.
This piece captures the delicate pattern of pinecones found across Scotland native woodland. A tessellating design evoking the forest floor scattered with pinecones as they open. Pinecones provied a key food source for many native animals, including red squirrels; in the woodlands by her parents’ house, you can often find pinecones that have been nibbled open to acess the nutritious kernels inside. This design has been created to be woven as a complex double weave which is showcased in the largest piece of Araminta Campbell’s handwoven collection.
