One-of-a-kind handwoven throw in our Small Pinecones design in 100% undyed British alpaca in natural white alpaca on a cream alpaca base.

We can tell you that Southern Belle provided her fleece for this throw.

A tessellating design evoking the forest floor scattered with pinecones as they open, this piece captures the delicate pattern of pinecones found across Scottish native woodland. Pinecones provided a key food source for many native animals, including red squirrels; in the woodlands by Araminta’s parents’ house, you can often find pinecones that have been nibbled open to access the nutritious kernels inside. This design has been created to be woven as a complex double weave which is showcased in the largest piece of Araminta Campbell’s handwoven collection.
