One-of-a-kind handwoven throw in our Small Pinecones design. Woven using 100% undyed British alpaca in natural grey on a cream base.
A tessellating design evoking the forest floor scattered with pinecones as they open, this piece captures the delicate pattern of pinecones found across Scotland native woodland. Pinecones provide a key food source for many native animals, including red squirrels; in the woodlands by Araminta’s parents’ house, you can often find pinecones that have been nibbled open to access the nutritious kernels inside. This design has been created to be woven as a complex double weave which is showcased in the largest piece of Araminta Campbell’s handwoven collection.
