Guests stepped into the captivating world of Scottish handweavers and artisan mills with Araminta, uncovering the enchanting tapestry of our heritage and the urgent need to preserve the time-honoured craft of weaving. Araminta’s design work for the Fife Arms and Mount St Restaurant made for a gorgeous backdrop, showcasing the work of artisan Scottish Mills while also chatting through her design for the Fife Arms and Mount St Restaurant.

Araminta took guests on a journey into her creative universe, sharing insights into her background and the inspiration that fuels her remarkable work. With a reverence for heritage and a passion for innovation, Araminta has become the largest employer of handweavers in Scotland, breathing new life into age-old techniques and ensuring their legacy endures. Guests heard how her commitment goes beyond craftsmanship – it’s rooted in the very essence of our brand.

 

Araminta also joined our friends of the Fife Arms, in a discussion moderated by Bard which brought together Araminta and two other talented artisans – Horn Carver Gareth Guy of McLean of Braemar and Iseabal Hendry creator of handwoven leatherwork accessories.
