One-of-a kind handwoven wide scarf in our Staffa design in Natural Brown on a Black base, made from 100% undyed British alpaca.
We can tell you that the yarn for this piece came from the fleeces of these alpacas: Athena, Wasabi, Coco Chanel and Victoria.
This piece evokes the wild Hebridean islands off Scotland’s west coast. The Isle of Staffa and Fingal’s Cave feature fascinating hexagonal pillars of rock which inspired this design. Araminta’s Staffa design holds particularly strong meaning to her as the inspiration came on a holiday to the Isle of Mull, when she became engaged. The design was inspired by the impressive volcanic rock columns of the Isle of Staffa, a national nature reserve famous for its sea birds. The hexagonal rock formation and the varying vertical columns inspired this softly geometric design.
