As we all join together to celebrate the corontation of King Charles we, at Araminta Campbell look back to Camilla, Queen Consort, wearing a silk and cashmere tartan scarf by Araminta Campbell.
This custom design was created for the Fife Arms Hotel, and gifted to HRH Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay when he opened the hotel in January 2019. Camilla’s tartan scarf was designed by Araminta for the Fife Arms Hotel, located in the highland village of Braemar. The tartan incorporates the colours and textures of the local landscape, so was the perfect choice for the setting and complemented the green tones of Charles’ kilt. Read more about our Fife Arms tartan and tweed designs here. The scarf was woven here in Scotland using the finest silk and cashmere, and produced in an exclusive short run for the hotel.
We are always thrilled to see our designs out and about, adding elegance, colour and comfort. Araminta has met both Charles and Camilla on several occasions and knows they have a great appreciation for Scottish textiles and they have an affinity with the Fife Arms too. It is an honour to think of our pieces forming part of the royal wardrobe!
