Every Araminta Campbell piece is an ode to Scotland. All of our textiles are made right here in the country that inspired their design, using local materials, traditional skills and expert craftsmanship. All of our Signature pieces are designed and handwoven in our own studio and workshop. We partner with carefully selected weaving mills across Scotland for our Heritage Millwoven and MINTA collections as well as our bespoke tweed and tartan projects.
Weaving has been practiced here for centuries, and we are proud to join a rich lineage of makers and artisans creating exceptional Scottish textiles. Drawing on this vibrant heritage, we continue to preserve skills and expertise that have been handed down the generations.
We source all of our British alpaca fleeces direct from farms and breeders in Scotland and England, before they go through our bespoke spinning process in their natural colours. Traceability is important to us – sometimes we even know the name of the alpaca a particular colour of fleece originated from. For custom tweed and tartan projects, we source our wool and cashmere yarns from carefully selected British suppliers. Keeping things local means we can make sure we use only the highest quality raw materials.
With the natural world as the greatest inspiration, Araminta Campbell have always believed that the need to look after it for future generations has never been greater; the brand was built on sustainable foundations, set up with these values from the outset.
Sourcing their British alpaca fleece direct from farms and breeders in the British Isles, Araminta Campbell are not only able to trace each fleece back to its originating farm, but further to the individual alpaca in the case of their SIGNATURE collection. This level of traceability is fundamental to Araminta Campbell.
Through harnessing the natural beauty and lustre of the undyed alpaca fleece, Araminta Campbell is able to offer clients a range of 22 natural undyed colours of alpaca without the use of harmful chemicals.
